Giving the gift of understanding

‘Tis the season for giving!

Many traditions focus on gift-giving at the end of the calendar year. Whether Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa or Giving Tuesday, we have plenty of encouragement to be generous in December.

I recently led a Life Languages workshop for a team of nonprofit staff who serve families and help them flourish. This group gives much to many throughout the year, and December is no exception, so it was a joy to be able to give them the gift of effective communication. We had a hilarious time as these hard workers saw truths about each other, and insights into themselves, that will benefit their working relationships well into 2023.

But the thing that touched me most was not the good humor and benevolent heart expressed between them. It was the way these servant-hearted hard workers reacted to my offer of discounted profiles and coaching for friends and family members. Although these generous folk are not high-earners, they excitedly purchased gift certificates for spouses and adult children to experience the gift of understanding this Christmas. I routinely make this offer during workshops, but I was moved to see how this group wanted to share the power of the Life Languages with others.

This may be the most valuable gift you can give a loved one: the power to understand themselves more fully, and learn how to use that self-awareness to build bridges with others. The potential is endless!

You can purchase personal and professional profile codes as gifts by replying to this email - they are delivered to you by email so they are ready to give almost instantly.

In January I will be launching a new opportunity for everyone who wants to continue building bridges with those around them. Watch out for that, and until then, Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Merry Kwanzaa, and Happy New Year!
